The resqme® car escape tool & Whistles for Life® are both manufactured, designed, and assembled in the United States. Fun fact the resqme® has been made in the US for over 20 years, also being the first major car escape tool to do so.

resqme® is a compact, portable car escape tool designed to help you escape from a vehicle in an emergency. It features a spring-loaded spike to break car windows and a concealed blade to cut through jammed seat belts — all in a device small enough to attach to your keychain.

To break a window, press the black tip firmly against the car window — the spring-loaded spike will shatter tempered glass instantly. To cut a seat belt, slide the belt into the concealed blade slot and pull. Both actions require minimal force and can be performed under stress.

No, the resqme® car escape tool is designed for tempered glass windows, not laminated or other glass. Most vehicles typically have 1 window that is laminated, but please check your cars information before purchasing.

The Whistles for Life® is a 120 dB survival whistle that carries sound up to 1-2 miles depending on conditions.

resqme® tools are designed for long-term durability. The seat belt cutter blade is made of stainless steel, and the spring-loaded spike mechanism is built to withstand years of storage. We recommend replacing the tool after it has been used or every 5-10 years as a precaution.

Yes! We offer free shipping on all domestic orders above $39.99. For international orders, shipping rates vary depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout.

Yes we do! However, we do not offer free shipping for international orders and if you are based in Europe we recommend that you place your order at www.resqme.fr

Domestic orders typically arrive within 3-7 business days. International shipping can take 7-21 business days depending on your country and customs processing. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout.

Safety & Usage

We recommend keeping your resqme® tool within arm's reach at all times while driving. The best locations are attached to your keychain, clipped to the sun visor, or stored in the center console. Avoid keeping it in the glove box or trunk where it may not be accessible in an emergency.

resqme® is designed to break tempered (side and rear) car windows. It will NOT break laminated windshields, which are designed to stay intact on impact. In an emergency, always target the side or rear windows for the best results.

While resqme® is designed with safety in mind — the blade is concealed and the spike requires firm pressure to activate — we recommend that children use it only under adult supervision. It is a safety tool and should be treated with the same care as any emergency device.
