I haven't had to use this (thank goodness) but it gives me peace of mind knowing I have this on me should I need it. My main reason for purchase was that I go to the gym alone at late at night and you never know what could happen, no matter how safe of an area you are in. It is a nice little size and doesn't get in the way at all.
