For me, safety is not an abstract concept — it becomes real in those seconds when you are the first to arrive at an incident. Not just criminal cases, but traffic accidents, medical emergencies, or moments where someone simply needs help.

Those are the times when presence makes the difference: when you can save a life, prevent further harm, or guide someone through the worst moment of their life. That is the true essence of safety: to be there when people need you most, and to ensure they are never alone.

I believe safety is not only the responsibility of professionals. Citizens too have a vital role to play in being prepared and minimizing risks. Sometimes this means building small habits, other times it means carrying compact tools that may seem insignificant — but can make the difference between life and death.
