Laurent received news on July 29th from Jesuralem.
Daniel Katzenstein is telling a beautiful story about a man who wanted to end his life and who ending up surviving.
“Laurent,
Just wanted to tell you about another great save. One of our medics is a supervisor at a methadone clinic in southern Jerusalem. A few days ago someone called his office that one of the clients from the clinic had attempted suicide outside their offices. He ran down the stairs, hopped on his ambucycle was in the alley where someone found the troubled client with a cord tightly wrapped around his neck. Without any tools handy and concerned about cutting the man’s neck he reached for his ResQme tool, slid the blade guard under the cord and watched as the blade made short work of the offending cord. The cord virtually snapped off the man’s neck and within moments he began to sputter and recover. By the time an ambulance was on scene the man was conscious and even initially refused transport.
The man has a troubled life but at least now he has a chance and a hope to make it better.
Thanks for everything,
Daniel”
